January 14, 2001 — Acquired

Some days, nothing really happens. Today was one of them, mostly. But I'm in a writin' mood, so I figured I'd share anyways.

I woke up and immediately realized what an asshole I was. This is always a brilliant start to ones day. At issue this morning was my having forgotten to email Gillian, despite having been explicitly asked for an email and despite promising to send one. I had planned to send it right before I went to sleep, but these things can slip ones mind when it's 6:00AM and sleep has yet to be an option. And it looks like I'll be going to bed at 6:00AM again today, proving once and for all that I'm a moron.

I woke up at 2:00PM today and felt sick. I didn't eat until around 6:00PM, and by then my blood sugar was low enough that I had a massive headache. It was too late for eating to help, so I had to give in and take an Advil and feel guilty. It didn't help that I played two games of Scrabble before giving in and taking the Advil, either.

By the time the night was through, Johnston, Jeff and I had played four games of Scrabble. It made for an exciting time. I got to play "qat" and I was one letter away from "xenon." We're going to buy a copy of Boggle tomorrow. Or soon, anyways.

I've been wasting a lot of my time playing with my new little personal page at BME, or the Body Modification Ezine for those not in the know. It's at iam.bmezine.com/?antigreg if you're interested. I'm keeping a smaller journal there and will have silly things like pictures of me and my piercings. There's something horribly geeky about a) getting another personal site specifically to discuss piercings (it doesn't get more superficial than this), and b) using said site mostly for discussion of HTML and Scrabble. I'll be the coolest kid there in no time. I used the poll feature to setup one about He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, so there's no question that popularity is right around the corner.

I have to send some emails before I go to sleep, so I should get to that. Six hours of sleep just isn't enough anymore, but I guess I'll have to settle for that if I want to eat. Food plan rules.
