October 15, 2000 — Obligatory
Today I've only been doing things because it feels like I have to do them, and this journal is no exception. I'm not really all that keen to be writing this, and while I have some things that I'd like to talk about in my journal, I'm not in the mood to be typing, so this'll be mostly superficial bullshit. Tomorrow I might do more of a personal journal, as I'm getting rather bored with this spree of journals listing the days events and little else.
But that's tomorrow. Today, I woke up after brunch, and I later found that all I could really have for dinner was a peanut butter sandwhich and ice cream. Can you feel me getting healthier?
I did my popular culture assignment and I have to remember to print it tomorrow before class. I think it was probably a bad idea for me to make Monday my busiest day, as I almost always end up staying conscious far too late into Sunday evening. My biology lecture first thing Monday morning never, ever goes well.
So yes. Nothing else much happened today. I worked a bit on the Bran Van 3000 site and I'm planning to basically deliver it to the Grand Royal people tomorrow despite not really having heard from them during all of last week while they moved to a new office building.
I've had a lot of ideas for anti-greg and no time to work on them, which is depressing. In the long-term, I'm hoping to get more of Matt's drawings into the design, and I plan on removing the ability to comment on the journals. This is a fun feature now that it's mostly people I know reading the site, but I don't think it will necessarily turn out well once the site is more public. I'm going to probably switch to a heavily-altered Ultimate Bulletin Board script for the discussion section, which will be useful in preventing people from pretending that they're someone else. It'll be more community-building, too. An online community united in their hatred of Greg -- what could be better?
I bought the Boogie Nights platinum edition two-disc DVD set in today's tribute to consumerism. I plan to watch it later while doing calculus, which I'm sure will work out well. I look forward to failing my calculus quiz tomorrow.
